With a lot of artists from the past generation to now, it is amazing to win such an award since it acknowledges the artistry of one musician and what he/she has brought to the stage for a lot of years. This would also be Brook’s second IHeartRadio award. He won his first one with Trisha Yearwood back in 2016 in the Best Tour category.

Garth Brooks Has been Winning Awards since the Beginning

Brooks is no stranger to award ceremonies. He started winning back in the ’80s and ’90s for the Academy of American Music Award. He was nominated and had won categories such as top New Male Vocalist, Song of the Year for his megahit “If Tomorrow Never Comes” as its composer and artist, Entertainer of the Year, Video of the Year, and Song of the Year for his song “The Dance.”

This is only the start of his career.  Brooks has been nominated for a total of forty-nine Academy of Country Music Awards, winning twenty-three of them.

He also had countless awards from award-giving bodies such as American Music Awards, Billboards Music Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Grammys, People’s Choice Awards, and he even got nominated at a Primetime Emmy Awards.

Fanboy Moment at the Stage

The iHeartRadio Artist of the Decade award was presented by one of the famous Chris in Hollywood, Chris Pratt. He admitted to being a huge Garth Brooks fan, like us, and he was so lucky to have the opportunity to sing with the country legend. He then tweeted:

“ Welp. I guess I died and gone to heaven. Thank you @garthbrooks and congratulations on the artist of the decade award. It was an honor to sing with you and the band on stage. I can’t wait for the upcoming stadium tour. God is good. Thank you thank you thank you *emoji*”

I guess even big Hollywood stars are huge fans of Country Legends such as Garth Brooks.
