His fellow contemporaries are slated to perform at the event. Charles Esten, Josh Turner, and Charlie Worsham are all scheduled to appear, as is fellow Country Music Hall of Fame member Don Schiltz, who was the composer of “Forever and Ever, Amen” as well as Travis’ numerous hits such as “Point of Light,” “Heroes And Friends,” and “On the Other Hand.”

Travis has made waves during the height of his career. He signed his first major record deal back in 1985. And just a year later, he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. He went on and sold over 25 million records, and made a serious impact on several awarding bodies. He had won seven Grammy awards, multiple CMA and ACM awards, and was inducted into the  Hall of Fame by 2016.

In 2013, Travis suffered from a debilitating stroke, which rendered him mostly unable to perform. However, his tenacity shows because he makes constant efforts to make surprise appearances at concerts and shows.

Randy’s Memoir: “Forever and Ever, Amen”

Travis announced that he will release his new book. It’s called “Forever and Ever, Amen: A Memoir of Music, Faith, and Braving the Storms of Life.”

The country music superstar opens up for the first time about the contents of his memoir. The chapters would detail his troubled working-class childhood in North Carolina. It would also touch base on his difficult relationship with his father, highlighted by drinking and stealing cars. It was then that he would talk about how country music helped him escape that turbulent situation.

“Forever and Ever Amen: A Memoir of Music, Faith and Braving the Storms of Life” will hit the shelves on the 14th of May, 2019. It is already available for pre-order on Amazon.
