In celebration of the 50th Annual Country Music Association Awards, CMA created the biggest and brightest music videos in country music history. Entitled “Forever Country,” the music video does not only feature thirty CMA award-winning artists, but it also fuses together some of the most memorable country songs to date.

Forever Country

“Forever Country” opens with one of the most memorable songs in country music repertoire. John Denver‘s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” has always been an American staple. It has appeared on several poems and prayers. Now, it has been re-mastered to accommodate star power.

The song melts into different riffs and parts of the iconic Willie Nelson song “On The Road Again.” But in the end, Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton dazzle us with the iconic Parton song “And I Will Always Love You.” Truly, this may be an allusion and a testament as to how far country music has gone and how much we will always be loving and loyal to the genre.

Thirty musical acts banded together to make one heck of a music video. Faces like Trisha Yearwood, Brad Paisley, Kacey Musgraves, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bently, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others, have all lent their voices and their star power for the video.

Country music legends also joined in the fun. Randy Travis made a fun little cameo at the middle of it all. George Strait, Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire, Charley Pride, and Dolly Parton were also part of the star-studded music video.

The single was produced by CMA Award winner Shane McAnally. He is a decorated country singer-songwriter and is currently the co-president of Monument Records.

All profits of the sales and streaming of the song went to the music education supported by the CMA Foundation as well. So the song was not only a token of the roads and artists that country music has produced, but it also served as a way of paving the future country artists to come.
