“I Love You” is a powerful word said towards someone who is special to us. It may be heard from our parents, relatives, friends, or a special someone.

If the people mentioned above have told you those powerful words, then you are a lucky one. Not all are given the chance to hear those words from those people because of some reasons. However, how does it feel to be with someone who is really committed to you and have no guts to find someone better than you? Isn’t it the most fulfilling idea? Why not listen to the song by Endless Summer ft. Summer Overstreet covering Randy Travis country hit “Forever and Ever, Amen?”  You will surely get the idea of what great love means.

This song was originally written by American country songwriters Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz. In addition, one of our legendary country artists Randy Travis first recorded the song. His version was released in March 1987 as a single from his second album, Always & Forever. This became Travis’ third number one on the Billboard Hot Country Singles.

Upon its release, “Forever and Ever, Amen” won a Grammy Award for Best Country and Western Song. It also received an Academy of Country Music Award for Song of the Year in 1987. It then became a certified Gold and had earned an RIAA Certification.

Randy Travis version of the song has sold thousands of copies worldwide.

Endless Summer ft Summer Overstreet revived the song and was released in 2018. The song seems like it was just created today and it’s still rocking the country music world.

About the Song

As sure as I live, this love that I give
Is gonna be yours until the day that I die

The lyrics of the song shows how the narrator commits his life to his lover. We sometimes commit ourselves to someone, especially if we are happy and contented with him/her. Thus, entering into a relationship is like a battle. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose but whatever happens, you must always fight for what you think is right. If you won the battle, then you are lucky enough but if you lose, do not feel bad because a real warrior does not know how to surrender without fighting.
