Hope Nation Radio is a radio station dedicated to childhood cancer. Formed in 2013 by Nile Peaytt and Thomas Hammonds, this non-profit 501c station plays a variety of country music, pop, rock, contemporary, Christian, and gospel from signed and independent artists.
Now, they’re announcing the good news! Aiming to replicate their success in Nashville, they’re taking their good music and advocacy in Fairmont, West Virginia.
Hope Nation Radio’s Expansion
Hope Nation Radio‘s signature voice and co-founder Nile Peaytt is actually a native of Fairmont. In honor of September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Hope Nation Radio expands into home territory.
“It means a lot to me to be able to bring Hope Nation Radio home and be embraced by the community here. Kids fighting cancer need to be celebrated everywhere, not just the big cities. I’ve already gotten to put a few smiles on faces and that is a great start in my book.”
Already a regular visitor at West Virginia University (WVU) Medicine Children’s Hospital, Peaytt has teamed up with the hospital for special events, room visits, and dropping off his specially made goodie bags for the patients.
HNR has also jumped into fundraising efforts for a brand new, standalone facility for women and children that WVU hopes to complete by 2020, officially moving the Children’s Hospital out of their single floor operation.
Together with their efforts toward their advocacy, Peaytt is also busy working with international relationships, aiming to expand the reach and secure syndication of specific programs like HNR’s 90s Country Flashback.
But don’t fret. At the very core, HNR is still its benevolent self, and it still aims to continue their many awareness campaigns. Listeners and followers of HNR can still keep up with their Kid of the Month, Artist Spotlight, and much more.
