Bad news, Randy Travis fans. Most of Travis’ 12 tour dates in October and November have sadly been canceled. The Music of Randy Travis Tour with James Dupré was set to begin on the 16th of October in Indianapolis, with dates going through the 2nd of November. However, most shows have been scrapped due to production issues.

According to reports, several venue websites, including the 18th of October venue the Macon City Auditorium, blame “unexpected production and technical issues related to the elaborate content of the show” as the cause. An explanation from the singer’s team asks fans to be patient and understanding.

Refunds are available through point of purchase.

Dupré, Travis’ partner in this tour, is a Louisiana native who initially gained recognition for his tutelage on season 9 of The Voice under the guidance of coach Adam Levine.

Soon, he became acquainted with Travis on the set of the film “The Price,” which was filmed prior to Travis’ stroke, and the two fostered a great friendship and remained close through Travis’ long recovery. He was chosen to be with Travis on the tour due to the nature of their relationship as well as their similar-sounding voices.

The 60-year-old hitmaker’s band was supposed to join Dupré on stage each night. Travis himself was going to make an appearance as well as do a meet-and-greet with VIP fans before each concert. Their set was to include his 16 No. 1 hits. Check out the full list of scheduled tour dates and their status below.
