Dierks Bentley temporarily shuts down his famous bar in Nashville but promises to give $1,000 to each of his hourly employees immediately.

While the coronavirus continues to spread, the closure of bars, restaurants, and event centers has been required by several cities to minimize large gatherings.

One of the affected establishments is Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Nashville. Bentley announced his plans on Monday evening (March 16), after, for the time being, shutting down Whiskey Row.

See his Instagram post below.

The “I Hold On” singer said he would immediately send a thousand bucks to each of his 90 hourly workers “to help in the short run as our community and country try to get a handle on the situation.”

He also encouraged other hospitality companies in Nashville “to take care of their bartenders, bar backs, waitresses, security, dishwashers, etc. the best they can.”
