Chris Janson has officially hit his 4th top-charting song following “Good Vibes,” “Fix A Drink” and the certified 3x Platinum smash “Buy Me a Boat.”
“Done” gave Janson a first multi-week number 1 single. For two consecutive weeks, “Done” has topped the Billboard Country Airplay Charts and has also made its way to the top of the Mediabase Country Aircheck Chart.
The Family Guy
If you’ve ever listened to Chris Janson’s songs, you do not need to think deeper as to what gives him the inspiration on all the songs that he has produced. Janson is a certified family guy.
The country music hitmaker admits that being a father is the best thing that has ever happened to him and he makes sure that everyone knows it. More often than not, Janson’s whole extended family is featured in his music videos. This includes his wife, manager, and sometimes co-writer, Kelly.
‘Done’ Specially for His wife
In his latest song “Done,” Chris Janson chose to focus more on his wife. He recalled the first time he met Kelly. It took him just one look at her and he knew that it was “Done.” The song reflected on that feeling.
Chris Janson’s “Done” was made more special when his fans welcomed his and Kelly’s story with an open hand. Janson describes hearing his song and having the opportunity to share his story with the rest of the world as ‘the best feeling.’
Not Stopping with ‘Done’
“Done” by Chris Janson was a result of the singer/ songwriter’s collaboration with Mitch Oglesby, Jamie Paulin, and Matt Roy. Janson’s easy-going mood was also in play. Believe it or not, he recorded everything in just one take! Janson admitted that when he was recording, he sang the whole song all the way through.
“Done” will be featured in Janson’s latest album “Real Friends” which he regards as the best that he has produced so far. This was because it’s the first album he recorded without the stress of catching up to deadlines. He also did not need to go anywhere just to be able to record his new single.
So, friends, let’s watch out for Janson’s “Real Friends” album. It would feature several hit songs including “Good Vibes,” “Done” and alongside the title track which featured his collaboration with Blake Shelton.
