Oslin found the peak of her success during the lat’80s and ’90s, producing most of her top 10 hits including “80s ladies” and “Do Ya.” The Grammy, ACM, and CMA award-winning songwriter and singer did not find success in country music until she was 45 years old. Who would forget the trio, “I’ll Always Come Back,” “’80s Ladies” and “Do Ya,” that helped Oslin lift her career to new heights. Following the success she gained in the ’80s she followed it up with yet another three top 10 songs “Money,” “Hold Me,” and “Hey Bobby” to help her close the decade with a bang.

K.T. Oslin won both the ACM and CMA Top Female Artist of the year Awards. She also bagged several Grammy Awards for two consecutive years with “’80s Ladies” and “Hold Me.” She also earned two Grammy nominations for her last number 1 hit song in 1990.

Before her moving into Nashville, K.T. Oslin focused on theatre in New York. During the early days of her career, Oslin did not attract much commercial success, however, her songs were picked up by artists including The Judds and Dottie West. She eventually earned recognition that led to her signing with RCA Records.

As her commercial success rose, Oslin rode it and ventured into acting. She found various roles on television specials and movies and was one of the favorite late-night talk show hosts at that time.Eventually, she decided to personally slow down for health reasons. It took her 20 years before she revealed that she was battling with Parkinson’s in 2015.

In 1995, Oslin underwent quadruple bypass surgery and was able to recover properly. In the years to come, Oslin ventured through several types of music that include Americana and disco. Her last known recording was in 2015, as she worked on an album with Red River Records with the title “Simply.”

Funeral arrangements for K.T. Oslin are still unknown for this time and will be announced in the upcoming days.

K.T. Oslin joins a long list of beloved country legend who has passed away this year, including Kenny Rogers and most recently Charley Pride.
