Eric Church’s kids are getting so big! Fans already know that the Grammy-nominated singer is a doting father to two boys: Boone McCoy and Tennessee Hawkins.

Three years after marrying music publisher Katherine Blasingame, the happy couple became first-time parents to Boone McCoy Church. Born on October 3, 2011, Boone made a significant impact on his proud parents’ lives – even when he was just a few weeks old.

“Everyone always tells you what an awesome and unique experience being a parent is, but words can never do the feeling justice,” Eric Church said at that time. “The way our life changed in that 24-hour period alone after he was born — just by putting a little boy in the house — was awesome.”

So, it was no longer a surprise when the little boy inspired one of his father’s songs. In 2015, Eric debuted “Three-Year-Olds,” which is a tribute to the life lessons Eric learned from Boone’s three years of wisdom. The song features funny, real-life stories coming from the time Eric spent with his son.

And just like his father, Boone’s “favorite thing in the whole world is to get on the tour bus, which is scary for a guy who does that for a living,” Eric revealed during a past interview. “He likes to run around the arena.”

On February 15, 2015, the couple was blessed with another son, Tennessee Hawkins – whom they fondly call Hawk.

Eric shared how they got the right combination of names for their second son. “Hawk was just something that kind of came to me,” the singer said, who got the idea after actually seeing a hawk at one of their properties out west of town.

“I called my wife, and said, ‘Have you thought about Hawk? Because I’m imagining myself at six years old, and if that was your name or your friend was Hawk, that’s cool. It’s a cool name. It’s like a Top Gun fighter pilot.”

While for Tennessee, Eric said it’s a name close to his heart and his wife’s, for several reasons.

Well, here’s to hoping we get to see more of Boone McCoy and Tennessee Hawkins as they continue to grow up!
