Blake Shelton has the perfect formula for being a hitmaker: mellow country croon and dashing good looks. But of course, his versatility is also undeniable. Blake Shelton songs could be flirty and convincing one minute and as much conviction as his relationship with God the next.

But one thing is for sure, Shelton knows how to wring feelings that could tug your heartstrings. With that said, we’ve rounded up some of the best hits by none other than Blake Shelton. Check them out below.

1. “Austin”

From: Blake Shelton (2001)

The passionate country song “Austin” was a breakthrough release for Shelton. Not only was it his debut single and the first from his self-titled debut album, but it was also his first No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart – where it spent five weeks. It was also a major crossover success, reaching No. 18 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

2. “God’s Country”

From: Fully Loaded: God’s Country (2019)

“God’s Country” was penned by a dream team of Nashville songwriters. It finds Shelton singing praises to the divine nature of America and the country’s great old-fashioned values.

In addition to being the best-selling country song on its first full week of sales and a country No. 1 hit, it took home Single of the Year during the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards.

3. “Some Beach”

From: Blake Shelton’s Barn And Grill (2004)

Shelton deals with day-to-day setbacks we all have encountered at some point in our lives, such as road rage and having to wait for what feels like an eternity – he tries to escape all of these by fantasizing he is on “some beach, somewhere.”

Meanwhile, the song’s title is a double entendre. If you’ll slur the “son of a bitch” a little and say it faster, it comes out as “Some Beach.”

4. “God Gave Me You”

From: Red River Blue (2011)

Written and originally recorded by Christian singer Dave Barnes, Shelton said it was “God Gave Me You” that had inspired him to propose to his then-wife Miranda Lambert. He released his version of the romantic ballad – which sent the work of art straight into the spotlight.

5. “She Wouldn’t Be Gone”

From: Startin’ Fires (2008)

The heartbreaking ballad finds Shelton remorseful over the things he has not done to keep the woman he loves from leaving. If only he had brought her flowers, watched sunsets with her, and paid attention to her needs, then “maybe she wouldn’t be gone.”

6. “Hillbilly Bone”

From: Hillbilly Bone (2009)

The quintessential country anthem features guest vocals from Trace Adkins – so it was somewhat expected to be not only a hit but more of a phenomenon. And every time the duo performs the song live, you will quickly hear the crowd roaring.

7. “All About Tonight”

From: All About Tonight (2010)

This honky-tonk rocker was co-written by fellow country star Rhett Akins which focused on partying and living in the moment. Atkins said they’ve always wanted to write a song about “how we just don’t care about tomorrow because tomorrow can wait until tomorrow – it’s all about tonight!” And so, they did!

8. “Mine Would Be You”

From: Based on a True Story… (2013)

The heartfelt song’s unexpected twist at the end has surely caught everyone’s attention that it became Shelton’s tenth consecutive No. 1 hit.

9. “Boys’ Round Here”

From: Based on a True Story… (2013)

“Boys’ Round Here” is a somewhat hip-hop-inspired redneck stomp with callback lyrics that resonates with all sorts of folks.

10. “I Lived It”

From: Texoma Shore (2017)

Shelton looks back on memories from his younger years in “I Lived It,” as he remembers the virtues of yesterday.

11. “Ol’ Red”

From: Blake Shelton (2002)

Although “Ol’ Red” did not become a hit at the time, it turned out to be Shelton’s most regularly requested track that he counts it as his signature song.

12. “Honey Bee”

From: Red River Blue (2011)

Shelton’s “Honey Bee” surely made a great deal of buzz when it was released as the first single off his 2011 album Red River Blue. It debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 – making Shelton the highest-debuting male country artist on the chart’s history since 1999.

13. “Nobody but You”

From: Fully Loaded: God’s Country (2019)

Shelton joined forces with his then-girlfriend, now-wife Gwen Stefani, for this dynamic power ballad – and it was an instant success. It went on becoming a No. 1 Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, making it Stefani’s first No. 1 in country music.

14. “Drink on It”

From: Red River Blue (2011)

This toe-tapping love song tells the tale of a man who fell in love with a girl in the bar and proposed that they get to know each other over a few drinks. Shelton describes it as a “sexy song that I haven’t heard anything quite like.”

15. “Turnin’ Me On”

From: Texoma Shore (2017)

This sexy tune stands out as you can feel Shelton’s passion while singing a song that he had his new wife, Gwen Stefani, in mind.
