While country artists know how to make you shed a tear or two, they also know how to put a smile on your face.. Whether you’re going through a heartbreak or having a stressful day at work, you’ll definitely find hours’ worth of tunes for when you want to wallow a little bit. But, of course, you’ll also find plenty of feel good country songs in case you finally decide to snap out of it and get back to enjoying life.

So, keep on scrolling below for country songs that will help you boost your mood, reduce anxiety, and improve your overall well-being.

1. “Chattahoochee” by Alan Jackson

The fun and upbeat song about having fun and coming of age in a small town is a one-of-a-kind tune to boogie down. Even its fun name “Chattahoochee” is enough to make you smile. But there’s more to this summertime anthem! It has plenty of twang, prominent fiddle and comes with a music video that showcases Jackson’s remarkable water skiing skills. The song remains a year-round favorite for country music fans.

2. “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” by Shania Twain

For girls out there, “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” is the perfect song to move your hips with. Shania Twain’s massive 1999 hit is not only the best soundtrack for a night out but is also a great choice whenever you need a quick pick me up.

While it may be a shout to the ladies, it can surely put a smile on any man’s face too.

3. “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” by Kenny Chesney

Sometimes, we just want to ditch our hectic work schedule and head to the beach, where the sun warms our skin, the sound of the ocean gently lapping against the shore is beyond comforting, and perhaps, the drinks are endless.

Well, this is what Chesney’s 2003 hit song is all about, which kicked off the country singer’s pattern of recording and releasing beach-themed music that appeals to his personal love of island life.

The song’s title was actually a popular phrase in the 1970s, which can often be seen in restaurants and stores. “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” was a response to the 1960s counterculture movement of hippies who adopted a casual style of life.

4. “Simple” by Florida Georgia Line

While it’s as simple as it can be, it’s enough to make you feel good as it tells the endearing story of a simple love between two people. The upbeat, folk-tinged love ballad epitomized the childish thrill of love’s bounds in a day and age when social media makes things overwhelming.

5. “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” by Brooks & Dunn

Country music was changed forever when two former solo artists teamed up to form what would become one of the genre’s most successful duos. “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” was their first No. 1 hit. Its popularity led to the revival of line dancing and kickstarted a craze that lasted for years.

Indeed, it’s definitely going to feel impossible not to smile after listening to these happy country songs.
