2. His father is also a country star.

Rhett’s father, Thomas Rhett Akins, Sr. – more famously known as Rhett Akins – has been in the country music scene since the 1990s and enjoyed several hits. Today, he spends most of his time writing songs for artists like Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and Blake Shelton.

3. His parents divorced when he was nine.

Without any clue on which path he wanted to go down, Rhett ended up doing organizational communications.

He even thought of playing soccer forever until an injury permanently put those plans on hold.
