The grieving is still fresh for sisters Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd after their mom Naomi Judd passed away last April 30. The 76-year-old singer lost her long-haul battle with mental health, a topic that she had been open with and passionately advocating for the past few years. And with the celebration of Mother’s Day last Sunday, the heartbreak definitely weighed a bit heavier.

Wynonna Judd, the other half of her mom in The Judds, remembered Naomi with a throwback photo of them with Ashley and a simple caption saying, “I miss you.” Her post received an outpour of love from fellow singers and celebrities as well as fans.

Wynonna has kept short messages for her mom, even during their induction ceremony to the Country Music Hall of Fame, which happened a day after Naomi’s death. The two had a complicated relationship several years back as Naomi kept her depression from Wynonna. That is, she had kept her distance from her daughter as they made each other so emotional to the point of being unhealthy. In an interview with PEOPLE in 2016, Naomi shared how they are so empathic, and they can look at each other and fall in each other’s arms, crying without even a word.

And that was why she was worried about how learning about her illness would affect Wynonna. Naomi only admitted how deep her troubles were to Wynonna after spending a week and a half in a psychiatric ward.

On the other hand, Ashley has been very outspoken with her feelings. She recently posted a photo of her and Wynonna after the induction ceremony thanking everyone for the outpour of love and telling her mother to be free. She also wrote an op-ed about her mother a few days before Mother’s Day, which was published on USA Today

Let’s offer our prayers for Wynonna, Ashley, and the whole family as they go through this heartbreaking time.
