Last week, May 7, a private funeral service for Naomi Judd was held to celebrate the life of the late singer. The event, which was shared by Ashley Judd to have been planned by her mother herself, was full of performances from fellow country musicians. Dolly Parton, Ricky Skaggs, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Isaacs, and Vince Gill were among the few who attended and performed.

This is in partnership with Judd’s family, the Country Music Television (CMT), and Sandbox entertainment. In a statement of the CMT Producers, they said that the special will celebrate the legendary artist’s ‘timeless voice, unforgettable spirit and the immense impact she left on our genre through the best form of healing we have – music.’
Additional details such as performers and special appearances have yet to be announced, so stay tuned.
Naomi Judd passed away last April 30 after she lost her battle with mental health, a day before she and her daughter Wynonna were set to be inducted as The Judds into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Her daughters Wynonna and Ashley broke the news through a statement to the Associated Press and a message uploaded on The Judds official Instagram account. She was 76.
You will be dearly missed, Naomi Judd.
