Country star Kenny Chesney said he’s “devastated” as he mourns for the death of one fan, whom the police said died after she fell from an escalator following Chesney’s concert at the Empower Field at Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado.
The incident occurred after the concert at approximately 10:52 p.m. local time when the adult female concertgoer, who had been sitting on the escalator’s railing, unfortunately, fell and landed on the concourse below. The woman, who has yet to be identified, died from the injuries she sustained.
When A Joyful Night Turned Out To Be Heartbreaking
The Denver Police Department confirmed that the investigation of the incident is still ongoing, but has since considered it an accidental death and not the result of the woman being shoved or pushed. The police also said that the drop’s distance is currently unknown or whether alcohol was a factor.
Still, the Denver Police Department clarified that if circumstances are deemed suspicious, they will make sure to update the public.
