Looks like Carrie Underwood is not the only singer in the family. In 2019, her husband Mike Fisher released his rendition of “Amazed,” which was originally released by country music group Lonestar in 1999. It then became the band’s longest-lasting No. 1 single and biggest hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
However, Mike Fisher put some twists on his cover! The former professional hockey player actually made it entirely about his favorite recreational pastime – hunting!

“Booner, when you show up, I’ll be ready with my bow up. And I will not hesitate,” Fisher sings, expressing his love for hunting exceptionally and amusingly.
Booner is apparently a modern term generally used in describing a huge game animal with a Boone and Crockett score that goes beyond the minimum before deductions. It’s made up by those who like fooling themselves into believing the animal is a type of Boone and Crockett when it is actually not. And Fisher used the term in the song in the cleverest way possible!
Mike Fisher is Further Showing His Love For Music
This wasn’t actually the first time Carrie Underwood’s husband had shown his talent for singing. In another Instagram post, the “Before He Cheats” singer shared a clip of Mike Fisher singing her hit song while driving.
A few months later, Fisher and his hunting company Catchin’ Deers shared to fans a parody music video called “Before She Bleats” – it was, of course, set to the tune of Underwood’s “Before He Cheats.”
Well, we are absolutely looking forward to more songs by Mike Fisher. I know you all do too! In the meantime, listen to his musical parody of “Amazed” by playing the video below.
