The Iconic Father-And-Daughter Tandem’s Take on One Classic Song
“Have You Ever Seen The Rain” was originally released by the American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival as a single in 1971 off the album Pendulum. It was written by the group’s lead singer, John Fogerty, amidst the rising tension within the band following the looming departure of the band’s rhythm guitarist – his brother.
Many decades later, an iconic tandem – Willie Nelson and Paula Nelson – gave the song one great twist. But even though the duo played it at a much slower tempo, they both delivered the same message of how sometimes you can have a bright, beautiful, sunny day, and at the same time, rain comes.
“I want to know, have you ever seen the rain? Comin’ down on a sunny day?” Willie and Paula Nelson sang together.
