For nearly sixty years, the GRAMMY Award-winning Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has delighted crowds with their brilliant musical talent and enduring hits such as “Fire in the Sky,” “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” “Battle of New Orleans,” and “Fishin’ in the Dark.”

Now, the time has come for this band to say goodbye to their musical journeys over their illustrious career.

On Tuesday (January 16, 2024), Nitty Gritty Dirt Band unveiled All The Good Times: The Farewell Tour, which will kick off on March 21, 2024, at Bowling Green, Kentucky. The trek will continue until September 14, 2024, and the band will be visiting different cities across the United States, including Houston, Texas; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Knoxville, Tennessee.

It Isn’t A Permanent Farewell

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band said in a statement that All The Good Times: The Farewell Tour captures their musical journey perfectly.

The band expressed that sharing their music with Dirt Band fans worldwide has been an amazing experience for them. The group added that the most important part of that has been their connection with the audience — that wonderful, shared interaction, which they find truly incomparable.

“That’s the very spirit we’ll be celebrating as we head into our farewell tour,” the group said.

However, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band assures fans that it’s not a permanent farewell but rather a goodbye to the extensive, multi-city tours they’ve grown accustomed to over the years.

Tickets for the initial leg of the tour will be available starting Friday (January 19, 2024) at 10 a.m. local time. VIP packages will be offered for most of the All The Good Times: The Farewell Tour performances. Additional dates may be added to the trek, so make sure to stay tuned for more updates.
