Four-Year-Old Braydon’s Adorable Cover of “As Soon as I Hang Up the Phone”

In 2014, four-year-old Braydon proved that age doesn’t matter as he did one of the most adorable covers of Loretta Lynn’s greatest hit, “As Soon as I Hang Up the Phone.”

With over 505,000 views on YouTube as of 2023, Braydon is a star in the making. At such a young age, he already showcased his talent for singing, feeling all the emotions of the lyrics as if he were a veteran country singer. At this point, we can already say that he may be Loretta Lynn’s youngest yet biggest fan ever.

Written by Conway Twitty, “As Soon as I Hang Up the Phone” is a song that was originally released in 1974 as part of the album Country Partners, which Twitty and Lynn collaborated in producing.

Although Braydon’s version is not as perfect as those of studio-produced covers, his version is rather sweet and pure, considering how unexpected it is for him to know the lyrics to a song that was written in 1974. On top of that, the way he took over Conway’s parts while also harmonizing with Loretta’s voice is pretty impressive.  After all, not all four-year-olds can be this talented.

There will surely be more spectacular performances from our little country singer in the coming years, but for now, you can watch Braydon’s raw performance of “As Soon as I Hang Up the Phone” below.
