FloydFest is definitely back, setting up for the five-day country music festivities titled Horizon from July 24-28, 2024, at its new home at the 200-acre FestivalPark at 5826 Floyd Highway. It’s still in North Check, Virginia, a small town in Floyd County, but it’s a bigger and better venue. Last year should’ve been the festival’s inaugural run at the park, but it was canceled due to permit delays and environmental concerns.

Festival Essentials & Insider Tips

FloydFest caters to only a limited number of fans from 46+ states and multiple foreign countries for the highest quality event experience. Since 2013, they’ve capped attendance to 13,500 per day. So, if you haven’t grabbed tickets by now, you may want to do so now before it completely sells out.

Package GA deals for 3, 4, and 5 days are all sold out for adults. But there are still available for kids ages 6-12 for all five days ($30). Kids under 6 are free to attend with an accompanying adult. Nevertheless, single-day passes ($150) are still available if you want to attend. If you’re coming with someone, you can opt for ticket bundles ($350), which include 2 single-day passes plus one parking pass. Just note that organizers are not selling or offering single-day tickets for Wednesday. You can also buy, sell, or trade your tickets in a safe and secure way through the Cash or Trade platform.

Camping accommodations are all sold out for this year, though. Unlike before, they decided to do no offsite camping. The purpose of their bigger and better new venue is to bring everyone to one site only. If you want to experience it, be prepared next year!

For the festival itself, don’t forget your tickets, camera, and clothing for all weather. It’s rain or shine. For your hydration needs, there are multiple free water refilling stations scattered across the festival grounds. But should you need anything, there’s the depot, a one-stop shop which is a cross between a camp store and a mercantile. For payments, ATMs are available if you run out of cash.

In addition to live country music sessions, the festival will offer quality craft brews and chews, healing arts, workshops and whimsy, camping and children’s activities, outdoor adventure, and onsite art installations.

The start time is 10 a.m. Parking is available: a Motorcycle Parking pass ($40) and a GA Parking Pass ($100).
