Maybe we don’t need everything to be happy; maybe all we need is love? Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Man” is in no way cheesy as the music beautifully describes how truthful happiness is.
Sometimes the problem is that people are always chasing after the best; sometimes, true happiness is right beside you. Thomas Rhett first met his wife in grade school and they married in 2012.

The song is probably the only one of Thomas Rhett Songs in its purest form as the lyrics were 100% penned by the singer. He wrote the song as an ode to how he feels about her. The romantic masterpiece wasn’t concocted in a lab full of chemicals; it came straight from the heart.
The story behind the song is even more romantic. It was the singers’ wife that got him to write the song. They were both in the car when Tim McGraw’s “Just to See You Smile” started playing.
Lauren told Rhett, “write a song like that!” Telling him to write something besides beer, whiskey, or even taking a girl home in a big truck. The song then came from a conversation with Sean Doglas, Joe Spargur, and the singer himself talking about their beautiful wives wanting to write something they could play at their wedding someday.
The song achieved double Platinum on May 18, 2016 and triple Platinum on February 21, 2017 and as of September 2017, it has sold 1,914,000 downloads! One of the most successful Thomas Rhett songs so far!
