Alan Jackson’s Daughters: Who are they and Where are they now?

Alan Jackson’s daughters – Mattie, Alexandra, and Dani – with wife Denise Jackson have all grown up beautifully. Born right after Alan Jackson became a hit, the three girls definitely enjoyed their father’s success, especially the massive plantation-like mansion where they spent most of their childhood years. And three decades later, a lot has definitely changed, and now the girls have turned into women who have carved out their own life paths.

Let’s get to know more about them and what they are up to these days.

Mattie Denise Jackson Selecman

Mattie is the eldest of Alan Jackson‘s three daughters, who arrived as wonderful good news just months after Alan released his successful hit debut album Here in the Real World

Mattie was born on June 19, 1990, and just turned 31 this year. She studied creative writing at the University of Tennessee and was also reported to be a graduate of Franklin Road Academy. She is a certified sommelier who took some time studying the craft in Greece as well as at the Joseph Phelps Vineyard in Napa Valley. In an interview with Food & Wine, Mattie said that being a Nashville native made her a unicorn because no one else was from there.

Up until June 2018, Mattie ran the West Side restaurant Salt & Vine at Charlotte Avenue in Sylvan Heights in Nashville. The establishment which Mattie opened with Hannah Schneider and chef Molly Fitzpatrick Martin became a quick neighborhood favorite not only for its delectable food menu but also for its extensive wine collection. But after two years of operation, they announced that they were closing.

Just months after closing down her restaurant, Mattie experienced one of the biggest losses of her life. Her husband, 28-year-old assistant district attorney Ben Selecman suffered a traumatic brain injury that ultimately led to his death during a vacation in Florida. He was helping out one of the women board the boat when he suddenly slipped and hit his head. The couple first met in the summer of 2015 and dated a year before Ben finally proposed. They tied the knot in October 2017 in a fairytale Nashville wedding covered by Southern Bride.

As of now, Mattie is dedicating her life to helping others. Along with her friend Brooke Tometich, they started a venture called “NaSHEville,” where they help women and children in need to get back on their feet.

Alexandra Jane Jackson

Three years later, Mattie got herself a sibling. Alexandra Jane or more popularly known as Ali, was born on August 23, 1993. Ali has not always been the easiest daughter for Alan and Denise. In 2013, she was charged after assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and drinking alcohol while she was still under legal age. Thankfully, she reached a plea deal. Instead of jail time, she had to do community service along with anger management as well as alcohol safety courses.

And in 2017, she penned a really touching letter for her father after being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Ali shared that while the world saw his father as ‘a great musician, an impressive songwriter, and a talented vocalist,’ to her, he was a best friend and someone who taught her that the most important thing in life was how you treat others. He was also the one who taught her how to stand on her own two feet.

Ali also added that he is every daughter’s dream father, thanking him for raising her and her two siblings in a house filled with Jesus and music. And she was also grateful that he always made sure that whatever their dreams were could be their reality.

Ali just recently turned 28 and is currently married to her husband, Sam Bradshaw. The couple got married last year.

Dani Grace Jackson

The youngest of Alan Jackson’s kids, Dani Grace, was born on August 28, 1997. She prefers to keep things very private, although fans can sneak a glimpse of her in photos with her family. But one thing we do know about her is that she has always had an eye for fashion. In later years, we might see her walking down the runway or designing her own clothes. Who knows?
