Several country stars attended the prestigious sneak peek at the Country Music Hall of Fame’s newest exhibit. The party included Carly Pearce, Reba McEntire, Bobby Brown, among others. The exhibit officially opened on the 8th of March.

What’s in American Currents?

The fabulous exhibit would include several outfits that were either worn on stage or in music videos by country starts. That would include Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Pistol Annies, Dan + Shay, Ashley McBride, and many others.

One of the display cases includes the gorgeous blue dress that country legend Reba McEntire wore at the 2018 Kennedy Center honors, along with the medallion she received.

“I am. I think it’s a very smart what they’ve done combining different genres of music, the bluegrass, Americana, and country music and blending the old with the new. And it just reminds me that we can always learn from the ones who have come before us and the ones who are coming after us.”

The exhibit also had Pearce gushing over a pair of fancy boots that she’d worn when she sang at the Grand Ole Opry for the first time.

“My mom and I were shopping a couple of years before I knew I’d have a chance to perform at the Opry. I saw these boots and immediately had to try them on, but they were ridiculously expensive. So my mom made a deal with me that she would buy them under one condition — that I saved them and never put them on until I sang at the Opry for the first time”

Pearce continued that she kept that promise and that she didn’t open the box until her debut.

“Since then, I’ve only worn them on that stage because they are a pure example of my hard work and parents’ belief and love.”

You can check out all of the famous memorabilia on American Currents: The Music of 2018, and it runs till February next year.
