Over the weekend (August 27), country star Amy Grant turned to social media to update fans on her recovery process after suffering injuries from a bicycle accident in Nashville, Tennessee. She started her heartfelt message by thanking supportive fans, friends, and colleagues who have showered her with flowers, gifts, and well wishes.

While she’s doing better one month after the incident, Grant said she would continue to give herself the recovery she needs. “On the advice of my doctors and other friends who have been through similar experiences of recovery,” the singer wrote. “I am choosing to give myself the gift of a very simple fall season.”
The Grammy Award-winner, unfortunately, fell during a bike ride in Nashville’s Percy Warner Park in late July. Even though she was wearing a helmet, Grant suffered cuts and abrasions and was even unconscious for about fifteen minutes. The singer was then brought to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment, where she stayed overnight.
The Startling Accident Can’t Keep Her Out Of The Limelight
While Amy Grant decided to lay low for the coming months, this won’t stop her from doing what she loves the most. The “That’s What Love is For” singer revealed that she has teamed up with Michael W. Smith and her husband Vince Gill to deliver brand-new music.
“I look forward to making music with Michael W. and Vince during the Christmas season. With deep appreciation and joy…xo Amy,” she ended her post.
