Canada’s premiere country music festival, Big Valley Jamboree, is returning for four days on August’s long weekend in Camrose, Alberta.

Set from August 1-4, 2024, BVJ will be taking over Camrose Regional Exhibition Grounds, starting with a Kickoff Party on Thursday night featuring straight-ahead country singer-songwriter Riley Green and then off to the Main Stage performances to be led by the country superstar trio of Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, and Keith Urban. They’ll be supported by top recording artists like Kip Moore, Terri Clark, and Russell Dickerson. The festivities will be hosted by Canada’s funniest fundraising auctioneer & emcee and all-around entertainer, Danny Hooper.

Last year, the festival enjoyed primetime sets from Dallas Smith, Morgan Wallen, and Dierks Bentley. Parker McCollum officially began the festivities with a pre-party concert at Beer Garden.

But it’s more than just music. Festival goers will also get to enjoy back-to-back activities, including Bulls for Breakfast, Dueling Pianos, and Get Hypnotized, as well as a lumberjack show, a karaoke contest, and a dance party. And, of course, a marketplace filled with all the latest merchandise and one-of-a-kind crafts where you can shop ‘til you drop.

Last but not least, they’re also bringing back the BVJ Honours Program, where community members can nominate friends, family, and colleagues who have made an impact on the festival’s last thirty years of history. Inductees will be acknowledged on stage and receive complimentary lifetime access, camping or VIP parking, and a hosted experience.

The Line-up – Who’s Singing at Big Valley Jamboree?

Big Valley Jamboree 2024 lineup

An unforgettable weekend in country music — Big Valley Jamboree 2024 is setting up performances in five areas: Main Stage in the Jim Beam Concert Bowl, Sirius XM Stage in the Coors Original Saloon, Songwriters Showcase on Main Street, Horizon Stage in the Marketplace Tradeshow, and Cook County Saloon across from Horizon. Don’t worry; all stages are built securely after the 2009 incident wherein a stage was unbuckled after a fast-moving storm hit the annual country music festival.

Since it’s a four-day event, camping is also available. There are four sections for camping, two of which have already sold out. Make sure you grab a spot off the remaining two — Heartland Camping ($195) and Country Nation Camping ($195 – $375) — ASAP, or you’ll have to find outside accommodation. Showers ($10, cash only) are available in the campground.

To help ease out the expenses, BJV offers a payment plan split into four equal payments with an $8 placement fee.

Similar to football stadiums and many arenas across North America, the event itself will allow up to 14” x 14” clear plastic bags, standard one-gallon freezer bags, and small clutches and purses, while backpacks, large purses, and coolers will be prohibited. Check out this list for the detailed policies and rules.
