The Black Deer Festival of Americana will return to Eridge Park in Kent, England, from June 14 to 16, 2024. The three-day fest will feature a star-studded main act lineup and a whole lot in store for fans. 

The newly minted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Sheryl Crow will serenade fans on Saturday, while UK festival exclusives blues rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Joe Bonamassa and Juno-winning Grammy-nominated Rufus Wainwright will kick off and close the show. Along with them is a refreshing eclectic mix of performers.

Aside from the main stage, singers will perform in Caffe Nero inside the event. SupaJam students will also be present, as they have been in the last five years supporting Black Deer as artist liaisons, photographers, journalists, live sound engineers, and even performers! You also need to tune in to songwriting sessions and other music activities.

Beyond the music, they also have Live Fire, live cooking demos from renowned chefs, and a long list of available activities, like skating, parkour, wall climbing, theatre performances, storytelling, and riding the ferris wheel.

Festival Essentials & Insider Tips

Here’s the rundown of things you need to know. 

So, there are single-day passes, with an adult tier for 18 years old and above (GA for £90.95 and VIP for £251.45) and a junior one for 6-17 years old GA for £42.80 and VIP for £85.60). The same goes for a weekend pass: adult GA (£214), adult VIP (£401.25), junior GA (£80.25), and junior VIP (£139.10). 

There’ll be a lot of people – probably around filling the venue’s 20,000 capacity – coming down for the event. And Gill Tee, co-founder of the festival, along with Deborah Shilling who recently departed from the role, are warmly welcoming everyone. With that said, it’s best to get your accommodation settled to make it a hassle-free experience.

There are weekend camping and live-in vehicle options (£90.95-£240.75). But if you want fancier ones, Bumble Bell offers bell tents (£738-£2,240) and yurts (£1,705-£1,810). Another one is Vintents, which can be availed of in three different packages: Classic (£410-£880), Luxury (£525-£1,100), and Deluxe (£1,200-£1,500). 

Make sure you’re prepared to travel to the event, too. It’s best to get there by car, using postcode TN3 9HS. There will be signs directing you to the public car park, so you won’t get lost.
