Radio interviews may not be as trendy as they were before, but they can still be considered gems. As topics can sometimes go ‘out of hand’ like how the K92.3 talk with Blake Shelton slowly shifted from the Ole Red Restaurant he’s managing to something quite personal — his engagement with The Voice coach Gwen Stefani and an upcoming save the date in 2021. From a dodgy Blake Shelton, he becomes someone unafraid to drop the big guns by facing ‘that’ question head-on.
Things Blake Shelton Loves
It all started when Shelton started sharing about the three things he loves to do namely country music, drinking, and eating. If there’s something related to having a good time and shifting focus where those three could be simultaneously enjoyed, that would be his newly established eatery/music venue, Ole Red restaurant. Shelton shares how he envisions it for the future and how he wanted certain aesthetics to work out with his music.
Waiting for the Perfect Timing
The tone of the interview slowly shifted to Shelton’s personal life as it’s not only his business that’s currently booming but his love life, too. Recently on October 27, he got engaged with his fiancé and fellow The Voice coach Gwen Stefani. Of course, Shelton couldn’t be more glad to talk about it emphasizing that he believed his relationship with Stefani is different than the majority. Where some couples tend to crave space away from their partners, they, however, wouldn’t want to part from each other.
Without any hesitation, Blake Shelton said that Gwen Stefani is the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Despite other relationships starting to crumble, Shelton chose to go all the way by taking the risk of asking Stefani’s hand for marriage.
Although they’ve been together for a while now, there are still external uncertainties they face before exchanging vows. They would have to wait further to set a date and location so they can have the bog wedding bash they’ve dreamt of having. Before really hoping for a better situation next year, what’s clear to the couple now is that they will wait, grow, and pave their way to the red carpet so many people could go and celebrate the beginning of their new life chapter.
“So hopefully, sometime this coming year — when we can find a window when it feels like we can start mingling as people again — and get this wedding planned. For now, we don’t have it planned because we’re just like everyone else in the world: we have no clue what’s coming. But hopefully, it’s getting better.”
