In an interview, Brooks & Dunn revealed more details about their reunion album, stating that they wanted to collaborate with other artists to re-record some of their timeless tracks, such as “My Maria,” “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone,” “My Next Broken Heart,” and others.

The best-selling duo revealed some details regarding their collaboration with rising country star Jon Pardi on their song “My Next Broken Heart,” which is considered one of Brooks & Dunn’s greatest hits. The duo went on to state that they didn’t do any production meetings throughout the process of re-recording the song and just went in and morphed it in the process.
Aside from that, the duo is also amazed at how Pardi contributed his unique spin to the song without completely changing it musically. Pardi’s unique voice was so distinctive that it already speaks for itself.
During their performance of the song on CMT Crossroads in 2019, many listeners were surprised at how powerful yet gentle Pardi’s voice is.
