Going live again at the legendary Tumbleweed in Stillwater, Oklahoma, this coming May 2-4, 2024, is the annual Calf Fry Music Fest! And for this year’s outdoor Red Dirt party, Giovannie & The Hired Guns, Flatland Cavalry, and Shane Smith & the Saints will be headlining the fun. And 15 more acts will be gracing the stage to rave it up!

Stillwater has been hosting one of the largest Red Dirt/Texas country music festivals in the country for 31 years and counting, and it has backed the launch of now big names in the genre like Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Koe Wetzel, and Parker McCollum. In fact, McCollum went back as a headliner last year along with red dirt veteran Casey Donahew and the Oklahoma-based Read Southall Band.

Festival Essentials & Insider Tips

So, what is the Calf Fry Festival, and what do you need to know? 

The Calf Fry Festival isn’t just any music festival; it’s an experience. That is, not only do you get to jam with top-tier performances, but you also get to celebrate Oklahoma’s rich food culture. One of the must-try local cuisines at the event is its namesake, calf fries, which are breaded and deep-fried bovine testicles! It’s a taste that you won’t forget in your lifetime. And if you want the full experience, you may also try your hand at the Goat Roping event.

There are two no-refund passes for the music fest: a general admission (GA) and a VIP, which you can purchase either for a single date ($70 for GA and $125 for VIP) or the whole three days ($190 for GA and $375 for VIP). It’s open for all ages, and the fun won’t stop – rain or shine. Gates open at 5 P.M. Selected passes also have pre-party privileges, so make sure you check yours. 

You can also buy RV and hotel packages, bus and parking passes, event merch, and book locker rentals for your personal items and for a hassle-free festival celebration.
