CMT 2019 Best Moments

Carrie Underwood proves to be one of the best female country artists of today’s generation. The Idol-winner is the most awarded artist in the history of the show. She won Video of the Year for her music “Cry Pretty” and rightfully so. This is her 5th time to win on the category. The other four times was a consecutive win, so Carrie is having the best night of her life on the CMT stage.

The collaboration we never thought we wanted was from country music legend Tanya Tucker and Brandi Carlile. They belted out the classic “Delta Dawn.” Tanya Tucker proved to all the newer generation of fans that she still got it. The performance was captivating and it became more magical once they were joined by the likes of Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Deana Carter, Carly Pearce, Lauren Alaina, and RaeLynn.

CMT 2019 Worst Moments

Zac Brown Band probably gave the most awkward speech of the night. Many viewers at home felt like the group was a bit bitter even though they won an award. A lot of the fans were assuming that it is because of the heavy criticism they got with their new type of music where they mixed it with EDM. No matter what the case may be, it felt like they were not happy winning the award. Yikes!

Another big question from the country fans is the absence of Lil Nas X. His song “Old Town Road” is undeniably the biggest hit of any genre this year, but a lot of country fans did not think that it was country at all. There were a lot of controversies about the song but it was a mega-hit so many people questioned why the CMT did not invite the singer. Well, at least his song was a smash.
