Billboard has dropped the names of the top country artists of this year!

Luke Combs

Luke Combs is yet again found on the top and named as the Billboard Country Artists of the Year. Combs also topped the Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay Songs, Top Country Album, and Country Digital Song Sales.

Gabby Barrett

Another artist who has been catching the attention of many in the industry is this year’s Top New Country Artists, Gabby Barrett. A 2020 breakout year for the rising elite talent, Barrett, who was also an ACM and CMA nominee, sent waves into the world with her remix of Charley Putt’s “I Hope.”

Barrett was also named as one of Rolling Stone’s top collaborators this year. She was also listed in Variety’s 2020 Power of Young Hollywood, Billboard’s 21 under 21, and the newly minted Forbes 30 under 30 in music.

Barrett has continually proven that she is the best upcoming talent in country music history. Her now nearly gold-certified debut album is officially the only album to date to accumulate the most streams in the first week for any debut album in history. She was also the only woman to claim both the number 1 spot on the Country Hot Songs Chart and a Hot 100 Top 10 with a debut solo single.

Now, as the year comes to a close, Barrett has her breakout song, “I Hope” hailed as the top country song for 2020 and her being named this year’s top new artists.
