10. “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” by Brooks & Dunn

In 1991, country music was forever changed when stellar duo Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn made their debut. Both former solo artists joined together to form what would become one of country music’s most successful duos.

Their success is credited to their 4th single “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” which then becomes the duo’s signature song. “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” released in 1992, was a No. 1 hit for Brooks & Dunn. Its popularity brings an interest in line dancing back to life. The song started a craze that spread like wildfire and lasted for years. It’s absolutely one of the greatest country songs for line dancing of all time.

In 2019, Brooks & Dunn released an updated rendition of “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.” They signed the hit country trio Midland up for the new version, and they naturally bring their A-game.

The new version of “Boot Scoogie Boogie” is definitely something you all want to groove to. The updated version takes on a jazzy feel, with the sounds of the piano that greatly define the instrumentals.

Midland’s naturally more traditional-leaning sound also made the track even more perfect. Everything just feels smooth and natural, which is what makes this new version of “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” so enjoyable.

9. “Cruise” by Florida Georgia Line

This breezy song that exudes the carefree vibe of a summer fling, with references to a gorgeous crush and aimless drives full of mischief turned Florida Georgia Line, become country superstars in less than a year.

Its most memorable lines, “Baby you a song, you make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise,” partly launched the song to insane success. It peaked No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. 

“Cruise” was also a massive crossover hit. The song got a little boost from rapper Nelly for a remix in 2013 and the remix peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s pretty impossible to enjoy a country dance party without this honky-tonk masterpiece.

8. “I Like It, I Love It” by Tim McGraw

Even over 20 years later, “I Like It, I Love It” still stands to be McGraw’s most recognizable songs. Its infectious quality supported by electric guitar and percussion will get anyone out of their seats to show off their best moves. It’s one of the best country fast dance songs you’ll ever hear in your life.

This upbeat single was able to hold onto the top spot of the Hot Country Songs chart for an impressive five straight weeks. Plus, McGraw’s energetic performance style, undeniable charisma, and incredible talent even made this song more memorable. This rowdy track made McGraw one of the hottest new male artists in country music that year and brought his level of stardom to a new high.

“I Like It, I Love It” also became an unofficial sports anthem. It was often played during ABC’s Monday Night Football broadcasts in 2005, and it is the goal celebration song for the NHL’s Nashville Predators.

7. “This Kiss” by Faith Hill

If you like to make your post-ceremony party as epic as possible, you’re going to need some upbeat country songs on your tracklist, and we have Faith Hill’s “This Kiss” for that. 6. “That Don’t Impress Me Much” by Shania Twain

This confidently twangy song created buzz following its massive success on a global scale. It became Twain’s third-biggest single on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained to be one of her biggest hits worldwide.

A dance-pop remix of “That Don’t Impress Me Much” was also released and used as the official song during the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup. 

5. “Somethin’ Bad” by Miranda Lambert ft. Carrie Underwood

Two multi-award-winning country artists, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, together in one song, is one of the hottest things to happen in country music. Surprisingly, these two produced one of the best country songs for line dancing.

In 2017, the girls of Sacramento Kings boot, scooted and boogied to the tune of Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood’s “Somethin’ Bad” during the NBA halftime. The ladies traded their signature purple and gray uniforms for denim shorts, flannels, and cowgirl boots and went full-on country.

The beat of this rebellious country tune was widely well-received by audiences of all genres and received a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

4. “Thomas Rhett” by Unforgettable

After a slow intro, this disco song builds up to become a fantastic dance song. Thomas Rhett’s Unforgettable is going down the history of being one of the best country party songs of all time. It features one of the smoothest dance beats, ever. 

Plus, we can’t help but be smitten with its sweet lyrics. The song is basically about a guy telling the girl that he loves, “I remember everything about the night that I met you.” Because if you can remember details of the night you fell in love with somebody, that person would really like to hear that.

3. “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” by Shania Twain

If you aren’t moving by the time Shania Twain says, “Let’s go, girls!” then I’m afraid something must really be wrong with you. “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” should make you want to dance and sing along, with both arms raised to the ceiling. It’s for all the girls who love to dance.

This country dance music is the ultimate girl power anthem. With lyrics like, “Want to make some noise, really raise my voice/Yeah, I want to scream and shout/No inhibitions, make no conditions” it is all about letting loose for a no hold’s bar night on the town.

2. “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus

Do you need help getting people hyped up at your party? Then just play the classic “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus. This catchy tune dominated the country music world in the early 90s for a reason, and one of the biggest country hits of all time.

“Achy Breaky Heart” is Billy Ray Cyrus’ debut single from his freshman album, “Some Gave All” in 1991, and it landed in the No. 1 spot, where it stayed for five weeks that year. And to prove more of its appeal worldwide, you should know that this song was translated into more than 100 languages. The song also topped charts across the world.

It also helped launch the line-dancing craze that remained through the ’90s thanks to its insistent beat and simple two-chord structure. Line dancing has also been featured heavily in the song’s music video and eventually exploded into a dance craze that swept country dance halls all over the United States and the world.

If you used to be too nervous to really get down, let Gretchen Wilson set you free because after all, “You know I’m here for the party/And I ain’t leaving till they throw me out/Gonna have a little fun gonna get me some.”

No one’s going to be sitting around when this song comes on. “Here for the Party” is Gretchen Wilson’s breakthrough debut single from her album “Redneck Woman.” It reached the top of the US country charts in May 2004.
