Stars across the spectrum gather together for NBC’s Elvis All-Star Tribute for the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley. Blake Shelton will host the event. The event will feature performances from Shelton himself, as well as huge country stars like Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Pistol Annies, and Carrie Underwood.
The show will also include special performances outside of the country music genre. Superstar John Legend will also lend his talents to the spectacle. Other artists who will perform include Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Alessia Cara, and Shawn Mendes.
The event is said to be documenting a historic moment: Elvis’ 1968 Comeback Special. This special event has recently celebrated its 50-year anniversary.
The show is considered a crucial point in Presley’s career. The original special aired the 3rd of December 1968 and saw the King performing many of his iconic songs including “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “Love Me Tender,” “Hound Dog,” and “Jailhouse Rock.”
