2. Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge (Nashville, Tennessee)

Located just behind the iconic Ryman Auditorium, the famous honky-tonk bar has been home to country music legends since 1960. As a matter of fact, local folklore said that Willie Nelson received his first songwriting job after singing at Tootsie’s.

3. Billy Bob’s (Fort Worth, Texas)

4. Ponderosa Lounge & Grill (Portland, Oregon)

Through the years, the Ponderosa Lounge & Grill has hosted some of the biggest names in country music, including Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, among others. You can come on Thursdays for free country line dancing lessons.

5. Gruene Hall (New Braunfels, Texas)

Built in 1878, Gruene Hall is one of the oldest line dancing bars in Texas that’s been continually operating. Though not much has physically changed to its 6,000 square foot dance hall, it’s still one of the famous ones in the country.

6. Robert’s Western World (Nashville, Tennessee)

Located in the heart of Music City, this low-key bar features live music every night that brings couples – young and old – to show off their skills on the dance floor. Make sure you put on your cowboy boots to fit in. Don’t worry if you don’t have one, you can actually purchase a pair here.

7. Broken Spoke (Austin, Texas)

Known city-wide for their chicken fried steak, Broken Spoke is one of Texas’ most legendary country line dancing bars. It keeps the legends alive with traditional country music and Texas two-step, the only line-dance allowed on their dancefloor.

8. Cowboys (Dothan, Alabama)

Voted as one of the best country bars in town, Cowboys is the largest honky-tonk in this side of the Mississippi with a dance floor big enough for 300 – surely, you won’t find a better place to two-step.

9. Austin City Saloon (Lexington, Kentucky)

10. Cowboy Country Saloon (Long Beach, California)

12. Pearl’s Dancehall and Saloon (Fort Worth, Texas)
