Potential collaboration between country icon Dolly Parton and the K-Pop stars BTS could take place this year. This was anticipated after Parton wrote on her Twitter account who she wishes to be teaming up with in her next collaboration project. In her post, she asked her followers’ thoughts about it.

“Maybe my next #Jolene collab will be with @BTS_twt? What do y’all think?”

Of course, the netizens, particularly her fans, gave their all-out support to the singer. In fact, these words coming from their idol would be a favorable response to their dream of seeing her working with other music artists from different genres. What inspired this dream was the new friendship that was created between Parton and the BTS members following their participation in the recently concluded Grammy Awards.

The 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year was given a tribute at the 61st Grammy Awards show. She was also among the performers where she sang the soundtrack to her recent movie Dumplin’. On the other hand, BTS was among the presenters of a Grammy award.

Apart from their stylish red carpet walk, K-Pop also made history becoming the first Korean artists to set foot on the Grammys stage. They were caught on camera dancing to Miley Cyrus and Parton’s performance of “Jolene.” Immediately, this moment was like a dream-come-true for many fans and they couldn’t wait to see the country legend team up with the K-Pop giants.

BTS has not released any response yet but their fans are extremely excited about the collaboration which they described as “collab of the century.” Some of them expressed their approval by sharing edited photos of BTS in their cowboy hats.

Fans’ Reactions to the Unlikely Collaboration

Here are some of BTS fans’ tweets showing how much they’re looking forward to the most unlikely collaboration of the year.

“Miss Parton I would definitely consider a collab with these talented country loving men! They’re quite a versatile group and are not afraid to cross genres. A country music collab would break records in South Korea and Internationally!,” a fan wrote.

Another described the team up as “epics” and said:

“ARMYs would be extremely happy for this collab and it’s already a huge honor the fact you are considering @BTS_twt for this.”

Meanwhile, this fan particularly noted on one of the boys’ reaction while performing with Parton:

“Jungkook literally cried during your great performance, he was overwhelmed & his eyes couldn’t handle happy tears.”
