Eja Lange: Meet Shania Twain’s son

Eja Lange, Shania Twain’s only son with producer and ex-husband Robert John “Mutt” Lange, is undeniably the apple of his mother’s eyes. Not only was he her son, but he also became her lifeline when she was going through her painful divorce. And now, Eja has grown so much. The now 21-year-old is reportedly following in the footsteps of his parents. But unlike mom Shania, he prefers to work behind the scenes.

Eja Lange was born on August 12, 2001 and through all those years growing up, Shania Twain shared so little about him except for a few moments on Instagram where she wished him a happy birthday. But just a few years ago, Twain shared in a 2019 interview with Entertainment Tonight that Eja was interested in pursuing a music career, but he wasn’t really into the spotlight and being on stage, but he definitely enjoyed the creative process.

A few years later, Twain revealed that Eja started making his own music and that he is a very devoted, passionate, and hard worker. She also added that it was so fun to watch him work and in fact, the mother and son both make music at the same time. Twain would be in her room, and he would be in his, and they would often text each other to exchange work and feedback.

But of course, just like any musician born from two talented parents, he didn’t want to live in either of their shadows. That’s why Eja has been listening to a wide range of music so that he could find his own voice. Twain explained that he definitely listens to EDM as he’s a fan, and Hans Zimmer is one of his biggest heroes.

And until now, Eja still enjoys songwriting more than performing. Unlike his mom, Eja is media-shy and doesn’t have that extrovert personality. And his mom definitely agrees that being a creator suits him better.

As of now, we have yet to wait for Eja Lange’s name to be written in a song credit.
