Queen of Country, Dolly Parton, is famous for hits like “I Will Always Love You,” “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind,” and “Coat of Many Colors,” among many others. Her works have left a big mark on the history of country music, several artists would do a cover of most of her songs. “Coat of Many Colors,” in particular,  was the choice of a five-year-old kid named Libby Thacker, who joyfully sang the song while her dad backed her up with his guitar.

Released in 2013, the cover has reached thousands of views, making it one of the most-watched videos on the father-and-daughter duo’s channel.

Dolly Parton released the song in 1971 as part of her album of the same title. The song immediately climbed the charts upon its release, landing at no. 4 on the U.S. Country singles charts, making it one of Dolly Parton’s greatest hits

Considered one of Dolly Parton’s favorite songs to perform, “Coat of Many Colors” is one of Parton’s most challenging songs to cover, yet five-year-old Libby Thacker proves to everyone that age will not stop her from producing great music.

With the help of her father, Libby is able to deliver an unforgettable performance of the country song, as she shows impressive vocal control for her age. How she looks at her dad while smiling and holding her Hello Kitty doll adds that touch of youthful charm that makes the video all the more worth watching.

With this cover, Libby showed potential to become a great artist; from her charismatic presence and charming voice, we can’t blame listeners for not getting enough of her!
