George Strait’s Texas Mansion recently made headlines as it fittingly shows the extent of his success as the King of Country. With over 70,000,000 albums sold in the U.S alone, the American singer has surely made enough to wow every fan with his real estate portfolio, too.

However, George Strait chose to let go of his dream home in San Antonio, Texas. The hit-maker and his wife, Norma, have been living the dream life in their custom-built Southwestern home. The couple is selling their adobe mansion with an asking price of $7.5 million.

Nestled on a 12.2-acre hilltop, the property sits in the private community of The Dominion. This flawless residence was designed by the renowned sculptor-turned-architect, Bill Tull.

Built to redefine Santa Fe luxury, it features a main house boasting attention to detail in every corner. The main house comes with two half baths and four full baths. It also comes with a separate casita with a bedroom, living room, and one bathroom. The smaller unconnected house also comes complete with a fireplace and kitchenette.

According to realtor Tamara Strait, who is also the 14-time Grammy nominee’s daughter-in-law, the couple wanted to move further out of the city. She also said that the property is still the singer’s dream home and how Strait wishes it’s possible to pick the house up and move it with him.

The commissioned property took two years to build from the ground up. With its 7,925 square feet of lot space, its architect took his time to create that classic Southwestern aesthetics.

Upon entry, the impeccable stained glass windows are there to welcome you. Going inward, 14 hand-painted fireplaces and hand-painted murals will further thrill any prospect homebuyer. The interior also features unique details like Saguaro Cactus rib interior shutters and adobe materials.

The residence bears neutral colors with light-colored and exposed floors and adobe walls. With is neutral furniture displaying soft-colored fabrics, everything is tied seamlessly with the dark wood accents.

Off to the chef’s kitchen comes the upscale stainless appliances and built-in accents like shelving which is prominent throughout the house. This place also reveals scenic outdoor views with its large windows.

With the main house’s bedrooms, there’s an ensuite fireplace that instantly makes the place homey. The master suite comes with his-and-hers closets and bathrooms. Both have stained glass windows and tile detailing, bearing a consistent color palette, as seen in the rest of the property.

Enjoying a sweaty gym time comes easy in this upscale estate too. The gym also offers an overlooking view over the terrace. It’s the only carpeted space in the mansion and it goes with a massive mirror on one of its walls. There’s also a separate sauna and bath.

Outside the manor is an infinity glass-tiled swimming pool. The couple also enjoyed their spa sessions here paired with the grand overlooking views of the Texas Hill Country and Downtown San Antonio.

Over to the patio are backyard barbecue essentials like a sink, built-in grill, and a fridge. It’s perfect for entertaining guests with live music and great food. The property also features a sports court for the active ones.

With its exceptional overlooking views, lively interpretation of Southwestern art, and priceless entertainment nooks, this multi-million dollar Texan estate is truly fit for a king.

In 2020, the property was redone. It now comes with new roofs, a painted exterior, and revamped glass tile pool. The couple made sure that it’s got the same laid-back spirit since they bought the land where the property sits in the mid-1990s.

As of writing, the estate is still in the market, captivating every prospect homeowner with its updated features.

Known for its security and elegance, the fancy Dominion Country Club where George Strait’s Texas Mansion exists has been an exclusive neighborhood for the likes of the country superstar.
