Hank Williams Jr. is in grief with the death of his wife, Mary Jane Thomas, who suddenly died on Tuesday (March 22) in Jupiter, Florida, allegedly from a blood clot due to complications resulting from a medical procedure. Thomas was 58 years old.

While the country star has remained silent with the passing of his wife of more than 30 years, he took to social media to express his gratitude for the public’s support, thanking everyone for their “thoughts and prayers during this time.”

Hank Jr. also noted that a slated show for April 1 would carry on as scheduled. “The family has encouraged me to perform this weekend,” Hank Jr. said, adding that he has no intention of disappointing his fans who have already purchased tickets.

And as promised, Hank Jr. performed for a packed house at Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi. To make things even more memorable, some very special guests graced the show – and it was none other than his children.

Halfway between his set, singer-songwriters Holly and Sam Williams joined Hank Jr. on stage for a rowdy performance of “Family Tradition.” Sam shared a couple of photos to give us a glimpse of the special night. “I’ve had too many highs and too many lows,” he wrote in the caption.

Plus, A New Album Is Just Around The Corner

In addition to that, Hank Williams Jr. has also announced a new record called Rich White Honky Blues. In an earlier press release, it was revealed that the country singer considered delaying the announcement of his new album, but the family believes there’s nothing that could offer solace in the most difficult times as much as music does. The album is set to be released on June 17.

Pretty sure you’re excited to listen to it as much as we do.

As for the family, despite what had happened, it’s just good to see them enjoying and performing together. You can watch the performance of Hank Williams Jr. with his kids in the video below.
