In 2020, she was introduced in the Yellowstone series as barrel racer extraordinaire Laramie, who turned Season 3 into an intriguing must-watch.

So we compiled a list of facts that will help you get to know Hassie Harrison more. And maybe after this, you’d be a fan or watch some of the shows that she starred in! Ready?

1. She was born on March 20, 1990.

Hassie Harrison is an actress and model born on March 20, 1990 in Dallas, Texas. When she was young, her mother Laurie Harrison, was heavily involved with a local children’s theater in Dallas. That was why it was not surprising that she also took to acting. She learned acting while spending time with her mom. Even at a young age, Hassie was so sure about acting that she already chose it as her life path.

Her mother supported her in every step of the way. According to Hassie, her support and care helped her become more positive and confident about herself. She now lives in Los Angeles, California and is estimated to be worth $2.5 million.

2. She was part of the Upright Citizens Brigade and also studied under Lesly Kahn.

Hassie took acting seriously and attended drama schools. She attended a drama school headed by American acting coach Ivana Chubbuck where she learned modern methods of film performance and creativity.

She also joined the Upright Citizens Brigade is an American improvisational theatre which teaches comedy skills like long-form improvisations, sketch, writing, and even parts of directing. The organization was founded by members of the troupe of the same name which includes Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh.

She also studied under Lesly Kahn, which uses a non-technique approach to acting which can be very beneficial for both on-cam and comedic work. Most of Kahn’s students and teachers are experienced film and TV actors.

3. In 2014, she made her acting debut in Hart of Dixie.

The show premiered in 2011, but Hassie Harrison’s character Lucy guest-starred in a total of 3 episodes in 2014 until the show ended in 2015. Hart of Dixie was an American comedy-drama TV series created by Leila Gerstein top billing Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart.

She was also involved at that time with co-star Wilson Bethel who played the role of Wade Kinsella. The two started dating back in 2013 but also broke up not long after. They were very privy about their relationship so there were no other details.

4. She guest-starred in the 2015 American anthology horror film Southbound.

Southbound, which was directed by Radio Silence, Roxanne Benjamin, David Bruckner, and Patrick Horvath, is included on many Best Horror Films of 2016 list including Thrillist and Rolling Stone. In the movie, Hassie played the role of Jem and her acting skills brought positive responses.

And just last year, she participated again in another sci-fi action film Max Reload and the Nether Blasters as Liz.

6. She ditched a family vacation to audition for a role in Tacoma FD.

Hassie decided to book a ticket at the last moment to audition for a role in Tacoma FD, an American comedy series that premiered in 2019 on truTV. She wasn’t initially sure but she did it and after getting the part, she described it as her breakout role that led to even bigger and better things. She also mentioned that getting to work in comedy on an improv platform really helped strengthen her comedy skills.

In the series, she plays the role of Lucy McConky, daughter of Chief Terry McConky (Heffernan) as the first female firefighter in the station and a rookie one at that. The show was renewed for a 3rd season and is set to air in the later part of 2021.

7. After bagging a role in Tacoma FD, she also landed a role in the popular Yellowstone series.

The Yellowstone series was created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson which premiered in 2018 under Paramount Network. The show is top-billed by Kevin Costner alongside Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, and Gil Birmingham.

Hassie made her Yellowstone debut in Season 3, Episode 5 titled Cowboys and Dreamers as barrel racer Laramie. Ryan Bingham, the award-winning singer and performer, is also part of the show playing the role of Walker. One of his songs titled Wolves has also been featured in the show.

8. She is dating Austin Nichols.

Austin Nichols is one of the most popular actors in town, starring in the hit film The Day After Tomorrow as well as TV series like One Tree Hill and Walking Dead. The two started dating back in 2018 and the most interesting fact is that they have a 10-year age gap, although that doesn’t seem to bother them.

They made their relationship publicly official at the red carpet of Oceana’s 11th Annual SeaChange Summer Party in Laguna Beach, California on July 21, 2018. They might not be as present in social media but it looks like the two are still together and happy!

9. She gifted Austin a dog named Otis.

10. Lastly, Hassie loves music and dogs.

Hassie Harrison revealed that she is emotionally connected with music and she even makes playlists for the characters she plays. And also, before Otis, Hassie owned a dog named Cocomeaux who died in July 2019.
