Hinterland Music Festival, a low-key festival hosted in the small town of Saint Charles, Iowa, is booked with big-time artists for three days, from August 2-4, 2024. For its ninth year, the festival celebrates folk, alternative, bluegrass, and indie music.

The fest is anchored by Irish singer-songwriter Hozier, American rock band Vampire Weekend, and folk-infused pop musician Noah Kahan, who’s returning for a back-to-back performance—only this time, he’s a headliner. Orville Peck, Lizzy McAlpine, and Mt. Joy will also be gracing the stage with them as support acts.

Festival Essentials & Insider Tips

It’s almost sold out, so if we were you, we’d grab a ticket right now. The only tickets left are one-day General Admission (GA) passes for Saturday ($145) and one-day Saints Festival Pass for Friday and Saturday ($750). Children 10 and under are free with a ticketed adult. However, in the Saints area, children 2 and under are free with a ticketed adult.

You can still score a sold-out ticket type by joining the waitlist, with a refundable deposit ($10) per ticket type, but note that this isn’t guaranteed fulfillment. If you do get a slot, there’s an easy auto-pay process wherein you’ll be charged automatically. If not, your deposit gets refunded.
