Jason Colacino and Katie Boyle were popular West Coast Swing dancers and longtime dance partners. There are many performances of the duo online which are still regularly making the rounds today because of their undeniable talent.

But one special video has gone viral several times – and it is their flawless routine to Travis Tritt’s “Honky Tonk Women.”

Even though the honky-tonk song they are twirling and prancing to is pretty challenging, they performed it like it was easy enough. Well, that’s no longer a surprise as it is absolutely second nature to them.

In case you don’t know, West Coast Swing makes the dancer’s legs and arms look as if they are all stretchy and flexible whenever they move. Yet, Jason and Katie were able to do this in a very skillful manner, and in fact, it seems effortless to them.

But what makes Jason and Katie’s performance incredible is that it disregards categorization – it’s partly a swing dance, at the same time, a line dance. And it includes so much flexibility from two talented performers.

Meet Jason Colacino and Katie Boyle

Born on August 20, 1977, in San Leandro, California, Jason Colacino got his start as a teenager who performs country line dancing and mastered salsa as well as ballet, ballroom dancing, jazz, and Argentine tango before he became a West Coast Swing dancer. And because of his vast talent and experience of different dance styles, Colacino started teaching and choreographing. In addition to that, he also competed in different competitions until he eventually became a dance judge in various different countries during his career.

Unfortunately, the young and vibrant dancer passed away on August 9, 2009, after suffering from pneumonia and cardiac arrest. It was later found out that Jason had an enlarged heart. He was only 31 years old then.

Katie Boyle, on the other hand, started her wide-ranging dance training at the age of two! She then went on learning and mastering various different dance styles. She had classical ballet dancing training where Katie learned how to choreograph, execute, and outshine her dance career to the lengths she has attained today.

Though Jason is no longer here, his extraordinary skill lives on through many remarkable videos with his longtime partner Katie. Check out the video below and see for yourself why the duo’s performance has become beloved all through the country music circles.
