Jesus was sent by God to save us from our sins. When he lived with us, His actions and words fully expressed God. He was resurrected after three days and became a life-giving spirit. And because of this, He can help those who believe in him. We have to realize that as a helper, he is dwelling in us.
Out of the many wonderful verses that reveal that Christ is in us, we will mention 4 of them.
Jesus Lives In Us
1. Ephesians 3:17
“ so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.”
Jesus Christ dwells in our spirit. He is the source of our lives. But our mind, will, and emotion can still choose to ignore him. He is limited in us so he cannot be expressed much. The Lord wants to make his home not only in our spirit but also in every aspect of us.
2. 2 Corinthians 13:5
“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?”
We are often ready to judge others but Paul urges us to examine the way we live our lives as Christians. He tells us that we are to test ourselves to see if we are in the faith and if Christ is in us.
3. Galatians 2:20
“I am crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me.”
This is also Paul’s grandest declaration about what happens when someone is saved by placing their faith in Christ. Paul argues that we become so closely attached to Him that we die with Him and He begins to live in us. Our faith, along with good deeds will save us.
4. Colossians 1:27
“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Christ lives in those who believe. And as a believer, we have the “hope of glory.” A believer can be confident of eternity with Christ in heaven when he or she knows Christ is already in them now.
