Saddle up and get ready to explore the wonderful world of Kacey Musgraves in a brand new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Kacey Musgraves: All of the Colors
Opening on the 2nd of July and running through the 7th of June, 2020, the new exhibit explores the musical, as well as the personal journey of the six-time Grammy winner.
The exhibit was announced in a press release that was held in March, and it was there where Musgraves shared what she thought about the exhibit.
“I absolutely adore the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. And it’s a privilege to have them curate an exhibit that will showcase pieces from moments all the way back to my childhood that are very special to me.”
In another press release, Kyle Young, Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s CEO has spoken about how excited he was about the exhibit.
“Kacey Musgraves is progressive, yet has a sound rooted in tradition. She writes songs that have messages not necessarily heard before in this genre. She is winning accolades and bringing country music to new audiences, breaking barriers and doing this all on her own terms. We are excited to share the remarkable musical journey of this young country music star — from her beginnings as a yodeling cowgirl to her present status as one of the biggest names in music today.”
The exhibit will feature several pieces from the star’s personal and musical journey. Fans will get to see items such as a handwritten manuscript for “Slow Burn,” a manuscript for a song she wrote with Miranda Lambert entitled “Fallin’.”
It also includes a fun tip jar that Musgraves used when she performed with Alina Tatum in a yodeling duo called the Texas Two Bits. The sequins-embellished satin dress that Musgraves wore in the 2014 Grammy awards, as well as the Versace pantsuit she wore at the 2018 CMA Awards, will also be on display.
