Kellie Pickler’s husband, Kyle Jacobs, is absolutely the perfect counterpart to the dazzling singer. Anyone who’d watch them together can tell that they are a match made in heaven. Not only they share the same sense of humor and always making each other laugh, but both of them are quite a creative force.

Get to know more about the Bloomington, Minnesota native, and Kellie Pickler’s other half.

He’s A Songwriter

Just like his wife, he belongs in the music industry too. He’s a pianist, guitarist, vocalist, and country music songwriter. He has been a staff writer for Curb Music since 2003. He has songs recorded by famous artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins, Craig Morgan, Scotty McCreery, of his wife, Kellie Pickler, among others. He has also collaborated with top writers and artists like Darius Rucker.

One of the most notable songs Jacobs’ has co-written was Garth Brook’s “More Than a Memory,” which turned out to be the first song to debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Singles chart in its entire history.

He IS Good At What He Does

Kyle Jacobs has been writing songs with Kellie Pickler since the day they met, but Pickler’s single, “Feeling Tonight,” marked the first time the couple has worked in the studio as a team. “He is good at what he does,” Pickler told PEOPLE. “The music he’s produced for Lee Brice is all over the radio!”

She added, “Working with Kyle has been amazing. He has watched me perform for years, so it was great to have a front-row seat as an artist and see him in his element.”

He Proposed to Kellie in the Most Romantic Way

Kyle Jacobs definitely knows how to sweep Kellie Pickler off her feet. Ten years ago, the songwriter popped the big question to the love of his life during a vacation in Rosemary Beach, Florida.

He has meticulously planned the proposal, arranging a blanket, champagne, and candles to be waiting as they strolled on the beach. He then presented Kellie with a handwritten journal, a seashell with “Faye,” Kellie’s late grandmother’s name, written on it, and an engagement ring.

“Afterward, we just held each other and had the most beautiful prayer,” Jacobs says. “We had a little champagne and talked and laughed and cried.”

The couple met through friends and dated two and a half years. And Kellie Pickler, raised by her grandmother after her mother left and her father went to jail, said she learned how to have a healthy relationship with her fiancé now husband. “Kyle took away all my fear of marriage and has shown me the way love is supposed to be,” she said.

The day Jacobs proposed was also the birthday of Pickler’s late grandmother. So what has previously been a sad day for her, turned into a happy one. “We both feel like we got my grandmother’s blessing.”

The two eloped on the Caribbean island of Antigua on January 1, 2011. They initially planned a huge Nashville wedding but entirely scrapped it out as the wedding date approached.

He Appeared Alongside His Wife In ‘I Love Kellie Pickler’

In 2015, Kyle Jacobs and Kellie Pickle starred in the reality show called ‘I Love Kellie Pickler,’ which is a look at the life of the lovely couple. It quickly became CMT’s highest-rated series premiere with women since 2008. But it has been long canceled in 2017 after three seasons and thirty-five episodes.

Kellie Knew He Was The One For Her

The American Idol alum knew early on that Kyle Jacobs was the one for her. “He makes me feel so, so great about myself,” she gushed to The Boot. “I feel so beautiful when I’m with him. He always tells me he likes me better with no makeup on and sweatpants. He makes me feel the most beautiful when I’m with him. As long as I’m healthy, then he is fine with whatever I wear.”

So the blond beauty, who never thought she’d get married, can’t help but be grateful that she let her wall down. “I’m glad that I let Kyle love me. He is the greatest blessing in my life,” she said.
