Little Big Town‘s Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman, and Phillip Sweet are gearing up to hit the road in 2020. The band not only announced an upcoming tour but also shared the news of a brand new album, Nightfall.
The Nightfall Tour will begin with a major performance: a show at New York City’s historic Carnegie Hall on Jan. 16. Joining the band on the road will be new artist Caitlyn Smith on each intimate stop.
The Grammy-winning group has been working in the studio for over a year working on their self-produced ninth studio album also named Nightfall.
In an interview with the Associated Press, Karen Fairchild describes the record as ‘cinematic.’
“The record feels kind of cinematic to me, but there’s a lot of beautiful intimate moments. In a theater, this record is really going to shine.”
Little Big Town will be the first mainstream country act to play the venue since Alan Jackson did so in 2013, according to a press release.
The tour will continue with stops at 30 legendary theaters across the country. Tickets will be on sale this Friday, and pre-sale information can be found here.
