Christmas songs have been streaming all over, but watch out as for the first time ever, you would be hearing Maddie and Tae sing Christmas songs. Exactly one month from now, October 23, their debut Christmas album will be digitally released titled ‘We Need Christmas’.

Their album features two original soundtracks: ‘Marry Married Christmas’ and the title track ‘We Need Christmas.’ But this six-track album also comes in with covers of our all-time holiday favorites namely; ‘This Christmas,’ ‘Holly Jolly Christmas,’ ‘O Come All Ye Faithful,’ and ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).’

‘We Need Christmas’ was produced through the efforts of Jimmy Robbins and Derek Wells.

Bright Star in a Dark World

According to an interview from the duo Maddie and Tae, they were able to express their love through the project. They said that they were able to recreate some of their favorite classics which they hear annually and earned special places inside their hearts.

But what they loved most about the experience is their opportunity to write OG Christmas songs that people will welcome. The making of ‘We Need Christmas’ is to serve as a bright star for this trying and difficult season. The duo wanted to impart a little joy and peace for their fans and for those who will listen to their album.

Early Bird Perks

Eventually, to mark the album’s release to a greater scale, the duo announced that those who will purchase early will have an opportunity to get ‘We Need Christmas’ limited edition merchandise which includes the personal autograph of the duo. The merchandise and items are already available for pre-order in Maddie and Tae’s website.

To boost the anticipation, take note that Maddie and Tae announced the release of this holiday project just after a few weeks on hitting #1 on the charts via their emotional single ‘Die from a Broken Heart’ featured in their sophomore album, ‘The Way It Feels’. This marks a great achievement for the duo as this is only the second time that they were able to grab the crown.

Sure, 2020 may not have been the most wholesome year for the world, but to remain optimistic in these times can definitely raise the emotional perseverance of those who will need it. Fortunately, Christmas is one season we can channel our locked-in optimism into, whether its through letters, gifts, or a song.
