The “Paper Roses” singer Marie Osmond’s daughter Jessica is now a beautiful woman, and the rest of her children are aging gracefully as well and creating families of their own. Now that she’s 60, the international superstar is not backing down from the limelight completely just yet. From a singer, Marie Osmond is now a well-known talk show host working on different projects, including a new show with Viacom CBS shortly after her exit from CBS daytime talk show The Talk.

The mother of eight first became popular as part of the Osmond family, joining in on the 1962 regular act The Osmonds on The Andy Williams Show. But her first rise to peak popularity was at the age of 14 in 1973 when she released Paper Roses, a country-style song compared to her brother’s pop style. The song hurled her to the top, hitting number one on the US Country charts and Top 5 on the Billboard Magazine Pop chart.

Her success led her to join her brother Donny who also had great success following being part of The Osmonds. The two were not only known for their TV show Donny & Marie but also as two of the most famous Mormons in the entertainment industry.

Marie Osmond’s affiliation with the religion had brought about conflict when she expressed support towards her adopted daughter Jessica being a lesbian. Jessica Marie Blosil is the eldest daughter of Marie Osmond and husband Brian Blosil, who they adopted when she was just two. Unfortunately, their marriage did not last and they ended with a mutual agreement to divorce in 2007. Marie Osmond then remarried her first husband, Steve Craig. Marie Osmond’s husband was a football player turned public speaker as well like his wife.

While the Mormon Church now accepts the LGBTQ+ community into their religion, the acceptance is under the condition of celibacy. And under their new handbook, same-sex marriage is no longer considered an apostasy in terms of Church discipline, but it is still considered a major transgression.

Marie Osmond fans are left with a warm heart that despite her being a Mormon, she was still clearly supportive of her daughter’s sexual orientation as a lesbian. She has also shown support of the movement for LGBTQ+ rights. In an interview, Marie Osmond said that she was honored when Diane Sawyer named her Person of the Week because she loved her daughter very much. She cried when Jessica told her she was gay at 17 because she didn’t want the judgment for her child.

Now, Marie Osmond’s daughter Jessica is happily married to her wife, Sara. In support of their union, she posted a photo with the two congratulating the two on their marriage and welcoming them into the family. Marie Osmond and Steve Craig are also doing great as a couple. And of course, Marie Osmond’s children are also doing great in their own paths.
