Morgan Wallen has remained on the top spot of Billboard’s Country Airplay this week, with “Wasted on You” leading the list for three consecutive weeks. This matches another personal best when “Whiskey Glasses” – Wallen’s second of six No. 1s on the ranking – ruled for three straight weeks in 2019.
According to Luminate, “Wasted on You” drew over 28 million in the audience in the week ending July 10. While there were a total of 18 songs climbing all the way to the top of Country Airplay during their first week, Wallen’s heartbreaking ballad marks just the second to remain atop for as many as three weeks this year. Jason Aldean’s “Trouble With a Heartbreak” is the other.

At the same time, “Wasted on You” has returned to the top spot of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart – making an eight-week run in the lead.
Coming From Its Equally Record-Breaking Album
“Wasted on You” was released to country radio as the fourth single off Morgan Wallen‘s 2021 album Dangerous: The Double Album – which spent an impressive 63 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart before it was dethroned by Luke Combs. Combs’ third studio, Growin’ Up, debuted atop the chart after it was released at the end of June.
Meanwhile, another track off Wallen’s record-breaking album is also making an impressive rebound. Wallen’s “You Proof” is pushing it a notch, ranking No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart this week.
Of course, that extraordinary achievement didn’t go unnoticed. Wallen is actually one of the recipients of this year’s ACM Honors handed out by the Academy of Country Music, which will take place on August 24 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
It’s truly an exciting year for Wallen. You can listen to “Wasted on You” in the video below.
